Rt 152 bridge replacement postponed. Conservation easement approved.

Rt 152 Bridge Replacement Postponed

The NH Department of Transportation has informed the town that the replacement of the bridge on Rt 152 just north of the school, originally scheduled for the summer of 2025, will need to be postponed until the summer of 2026.

Conservation Easement Public Hearing

A public hearing was held about the Conservation Commission spending $60k to acquire a conservation easement to some wetlands abutting Quincy Pond. Following the hearing the board voted on whether to spend the funds. The vote was 4-1 with Selectman Decker objecting to the acquisition on the grounds that these lands were already protected under current environmental and zoning laws. As such, it was unnecessary to spend public funds to acquire the easement.
