Democrats but not Republicans to have a primary election challenge.
The NH Secretary of State has posted the names of candidates who have filed for the upcoming primary election for the three seats in the NH House of Representatives for Rockingham County District encompassing the towns of Nottingham and Northwood.
Only the Democrats will be having a contested primary election, with four candidates for three seats. The candidates are:
Charlotte Fyfe of Nottingham
Keith McGuigan of Northwood
Hal Rafter of Nottingham (Incumbant)
Pamela Sanderson of Northwood
The three winners of the primary election will face off against the Republican slate of candidates:
Scott R. Bryer of Northwood
James Guzofski of Northwood
Paul D. Tudor of Northwood (Incumbant)
Last year Democrat Hal Rafter defeated Republican James Guzofski 56%-44% in the special election to fill the seat vacated by Benjamin T. Bartlett IV (R), who resigned on April 26, 2023 due to a violation of the Hatch Act.
