Nobody has followed this debacle closer from the start. It’s refreshing to see some critical thinking being applied when reviewing this mess. Outstanding job Mr. Bates. Nottingham used to be a great town, until the activist politicians and lawyers decided to start tearing it apart at the seams. Good luck Nottingham, the future looks bleak.

Thanks for your efforts. Yes, someone will use your anecdote against you later. It's too bad. The world is more fun when we can share stories, w/o them getting twisted.

Well done, as always. I especially like the part about people making up their own logical stories. I think this is very true, and I have certainly experienced this in my own life. It is troubling that the investigator didn't make any efforts to look at the entire context of this department.

Thank you for this analysis. I don’t think people think critically enough anymore and you brought up many great points. I am not impressed with the investigator and see many problems with how she went about the investigation. I don’t think she collected enough actual physical evidence to back up many claims and instead it was overwhelmingly statements and hearsay. In my opinion, a wrongful termination suit would have a pretty good chance based on the investigator’s report. I wonder why our town uses the particular law firm that they do and how we hire another because the way this matter was handled “based on advice from The Town’s attorney” we should probably think about finding a better one but that’s just my opinion.
